This year marks Virginia Beach Community Development Corporation's 25th Anniversary in serving the community of Virginia Beach in providing affordable housing and services. A celebration was held on March 17, 2011 to commerate VBCDC's 25th anniversary.
Key Milestones
- Certified HUD Housing Counseling Agency providing Homeownership, Rental, Foreclosure Prevention, and Homeless Services Counseling
- Sold, financed, and educated over 1,200 first time buyers through it Homeownership Program
- Developed, owns, and manages an Intermediate Care Facility for 24 adults with profound developmental disabilities as well as a group home for adults with developmental disabilities
- Developed, owns, and manages numerous properties that house adults with mental illness disabilities
- Provided housing & services to over 750 homeless families and individuals
- Currently owns and manages over 342 affordable units of rental housing in Virginia Beach
